Dolce & Gabbana has been around since 1985 when Domenico Dolce met Stefano Gabbana. The two assistants started working together and quickly opened their own fashion label. Their first collection was entitled “Real Women” and it was based heavily on Italian culture and accentuating the female form. In 1992 they introduced perfume and a mens collection. In the early 2000’s Dolce & Gabbana were the first to turn away from the 1990’s grunge and embrace color, crystals, and extravagant patterns.
